Overview – Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within the assigned area. Pharmacists are aligned with a medical service or group of patients based on a geographical area within the hospital and/or UF Clinics. Actively participates in relevant education and research activities.

Team – Pediatric/Women’s Team.

Schedule & Responsibilities

• Day shift: 6:20 am – 2:30 pm (primarily)
• Primary staffing in the pediatric satellite (cross‑training in other areas included)
• Rotating weekend commitment
• Includes on‑call staffing, disaster team assignment, holiday block assignment, and night shift pull list
• Average of 60 hours per two‑week pay period
• Note:
  
  This is not a 7‑on/7‑off position

Qualifications

Minimum

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy. Pharm
  
  D or equivalent education and hospital training/experience required.
• PGY1 residency preferred; PGY2 highly preferred.
• Two years pharmacy experience in an organized health‑care setting preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with supervisors, peers, support personnel and students.
• Demonstrated understanding of general hospital and ambulatory operations.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate clinical services, education and research activities.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for same.
