Physical Therapist | Rehab OSMI Sports​/Ortho

Overview

UF Health Shands Rehab Services provides physical, massage and aquatic therapy services. The team treats sports injuries, concussions, running medicine, and total joint and post-surgical orthopedic populations, and collaborates with UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute, UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center and the University Athletic Association. The role supports rehabilitation services and education to patients.

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in sports and orthopedics settings as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and goals.
• Participate in continuing education, journal clubs, staff mentoring, and involvement with student clinical education and UF Health residency programs.

• Bachelor s in Rehabilitation Therapy
• No previous clinical experience required
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings
• Strong communication skills
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida
