Mental Health Resource Center is a not‑for‑profit Florida corporation providing a wide range of community mental health and behavioral health services, including 24‑hour emergency care, inpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults, and outpatient services such as medication management, case management, and counseling.
Job SummaryThis role supports a team that delivers direct treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, promoting recovery, empowerment, and self‑determination. Responsibilities are largely field‑based, with only about 15% office work, and include transportation in the community using company vehicles and personal mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities- Provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services based on the FACT model (PACT manual).
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of clinical records.
- Conduct mental health status assessments.
- Coordinate referrals to community providers and support services.
- Assist with activities of daily living, transportation, communication, and social/interpersonal skills.
- Provide education on symptoms, medications, and mental health issues.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions on various topics.
- Serve as primary case manager for an assigned group of individuals, promoting recovery and self‑determination.
- Master’s degree in Human Services or a related field.
- Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder).
- Proficiency in DBT therapy techniques is preferred.
- Meet MHRC/RBHS vehicle driver requirements (valid Florida driver’s license, insurance coverage at least 50,000/100,000/50,000, no more than eight points).
- Ability to interact with clients in varied settings (home, office, hospital, nursing home, locked unit).
- Independent decision‑making skills to recognize emergencies and respond appropriately.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, caregivers, community providers, supervisors, and other professionals.

Full‑time, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, on‑call, and holidays. Background screening and clearance through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is required for all positions:
