Job DescriptionThe Biomedical Informatics team, in specific support of the Cancer Informatics Shared Resource (CISR) program in the UFHCI, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of a Research Coordinator III. The coordinator will play an important role in the management of day-to-day operations for CISR in support of the execution of cutting‑edge research studies at the intersection of health care delivery and information technology to enhance care quality and population health.
Day‑to‑day oversight and management of CISR research‑related and organizational efforts across multiple initiatives, including CISR service cores and Cancer Data Commons. Facilitate and manage program and project meetings, coordinate service projects, including tracking and invoicing, development and management of annual budgets with the UFHCI business administrative team and CISR leadership. Resource tracking and management for projects and service initiatives, including effort/salary distribution management.
Research Project Management and Protocol Implementation of CISR designated projects. Develop project plans in collaboration with investigators and leadership. Track project objectives, milestones, deliverables, status reports, study results to ensure research activities remain on schedule. Translate study design decisions into concrete tasks, and facilitate setting implementation priorities. Create and maintain budgets and project spending. Lead the development and maintenance of IRB protocols, project objectives, and other research‑related tasks and documentation.
Coordinate roles, responsibilities, and interdependencies of research team members, including students. Manage communication among staff, study sponsors, healthcare professionals, and investigators, to ensure on‑time reports and other deliverables. Work with investigators and administrative staff to maintain budgets, monitor project spending, and develop and maintain IRB protocols, and other research‑related documentation.
Communication:
Organize, lead, and document research project team meetings. Track and communicate project updates to team members, leadership, department administration, and other internal and external stakeholders. Manage communication among staff, study sponsors, healthcare professionals, and investigators. Communicate with the IRB Privacy Office, and other regulatory bodies to obtain and maintain all necessary regulatory approval.
Service management:
Work collaboratively with CISR service core teams on intake processes for new requests, coordinate updates to CISR websites, and facilitate collection and reporting of service metrics.
Dissemination:
Work with CISR leadership to produce publications in peer‑reviewed journals and presentations to academic, organizational, and community audiences. Track publications for metrics reporting.

Required QualificationsThe coordinator will work independently and under the minimal guidance and supervision of the Associate Director of Project and Program Management, faculty leadership in the Biomedical Informatics program, as well as faculty leadership in the CISR program supporting service and infrastructure projects led by these groups. The job responsibilities include a full range of research‑related and organizational support efforts across multiple initiatives.
The coordinator will facilitate and manage program and project meetings, coordinate service projects, collaboratively develop and manage budgets with UFHCI business administrative team and CISR leadership. This position will also be responsible for cross‑department communication with UFHCI and HOBI department administrators for budget and effort/salary distributions for CISR funded BIDS faculty and staff. This role will also work collaboratively with leadership and technical resources of the Cancer Data Commons program.
