Overview
Responsible for the identification of training and educational needs and the delivery of training/education to meet business objectives. Responsible for the performance of Quality assessments for the hospital's Central Sterile Supply program according to AAMI, IAHCSMM and CBSPD guidelines. Maintains consistent high standards in the training and education process of Sterile Processing Technicians to assure that the department will meet or exceed Joint Commission and regulatory agencies' requirements.
Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external entities, customers, vendors and other parties tangent to the Central Sterile Supply function for the purposes of training, education and quality.
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years central sterile processing experience; preferably, specific to training and education. Requires demonstrated skill and knowledge specific to or transferrable to training and educational activities typically obtained through prior work experiences, post‑high school formal education or other relevant sources. Must possess and exhibit effective communication skills, both oral and written. Requires Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician credential (CRCST).
