Overview
The System Director of HR Technology and Solutions is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of HR systems and digital solutions across UF Health. This role ensures that HR technology supports business goals, enhances the employee experience, and enables data-driven decision-making. The director will collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, and operational leaders to deliver and optimize scalable, secure, and user-friendly HR technology solutions.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year HR technology roadmap aligned with organizational and workforce strategies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR and IT for all HR systems and digital initiatives.
- Working the HR governance model, lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new HR technologies, including HCM, ATS, LMS, and employee engagement platforms.
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of core HR systems (e.g., Workday, People Soft, Talent Platforms).
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Drive automation and process improvements across the employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire).
- Lead the development of HR and labor dashboards and analytics to support initiatives such as workforce planning, retention, and performance management.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver actionable insights from people data.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
- -Manage cross-functional HR technology projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.
- Provide training and support to HR staff and end-users.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develop and manage the HR technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, SHRM-SCP, HRIP) preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in HR technology or HRIS, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Proven experience implementing, stabilizing, and managing enterprise HR systems.
- Strong experience in Workday HR, with a preference for Workday ERP.
- Deep understanding of HR processes and systems architecture.
- Strong project management and change leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, and healthcare compliance standards.
