Work Location: Remote (within approved states: FL, GA, MO, PA, SC, TN, and TX)

Position Summary: The primary goal of this position is to support the growth and adoption of UF Health’s implementation of Epic’s Caboodle data warehouse and the Slicer Dicer front-end query tool. The role includes:

• Developing custom ETL processes using SSIS and T‑SQL stored procedures for Caboodle
• Creating and/or modifying Epic FDS/FDM records in the Epic Text environment for Slicer Dicer
• Developing custom dashboards and metrics using Epic Cogito reporting suite, Caboodle, and Slicer Dicer as data sources

Key

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS (or similar ETL tools), and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Epic Cogito reporting and familiarity with Epic data structures
• Knowledge of SQL performance tuning and maintenance
• Ability to learn and understand various healthcare concepts and coding systems
• Support for UF Health’s custom IDR data warehouse
• Familiarity with SAP Business Objects suite, primarily SAP Data Services

Minimum

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data warehousing, ETL, or Epic Cogito development (certification not required but highly valued)
• Experience:
  • Dimensional data modeling
  • SQL Server
  • SAP Data Services and/or Business Objects Designer (preferred)

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

• Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver
