Job DescriptionThe Division of Nephrology is looking for an Application Developer Analyst I. This position supports a federally funded, high-impact research initiative led by the Computational Microscopy Imaging Lab (CMIL) focused on the development of a secure, cloud-based Multi-Modal Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) platform. The platform integrates EHR, radiologic imaging, and histopathology data to support predictive modeling and data visualization for clinical and translational research.
The Application Developer Analyst I will contribute to the development and maintenance of research-facing web applications and data systems that support AI tools and multi-modal data access. This position works under direct supervision and involves collaboration with researchers, data scientists, and technical staff to ensure that applications are secure, user-friendly, and developed in alignment with institutional and federal data governance standards.

Required QualificationsAssociate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field
- Experience with front-end development tools (e.g., React)
- Basic familiarity with backend tools (e.g., Flask, Django, Postgre
SQL) - Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Interest in biomedical or clinical research settings
- Willingness to learn secure coding practices and follow institutional data policies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Additional technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Security+, etc.) may be encouraged but not required.
