Job DescriptionThe College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) IT is seeking a Computer Technician to install and image workstations, and to provide desktop support via office visits, phone, and email to faculty, staff, and graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Responsibilities- Install and image workstations.
- Provide desktop support via office visits, phone, and email to faculty, staff, and graduate students.
- Regularly assemble and repair workstations from parts/components.
- Install and configure operating systems, peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and software applications such as Microsoft Windows 11, macOS, Microsoft Office Suite, One Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Chrome, Adobe Acrobat, and more.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must display a professional appearance and demeanor, and maintain confidentiality of all information entrusted to this position.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Integrity, punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to learn technology quickly.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Practical experience with imaging computers and Active Directory.
- Experience with tablets and smartphones.
- Must upload a cover letter and resume.
