Job DescriptionThe Division of Nephrology is looking for an Application Developer Analyst I. This position supports a federally funded, high-impact research initiative led by the Computational Microscopy Imaging Lab (CMIL) focused on the development of a secure, cloud-based Multi-Modal Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) platform. The platform integrates EHR, radiologic imaging, and histopathology data to support predictive modeling and data visualization for clinical and translational research.
The Application Developer Analyst I will contribute to the development and maintenance of research-facing web applications and data systems that support AI tools and multi‑modal data access. This position works under direct supervision and involves collaboration with researchers, data scientists, and technical staff to ensure that applications are secure, user‑friendly, and developed in alignment with institutional and federal data governance standards.

Required QualificationsAssociate's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field
- Experience with front-end development tools (e.g., React)
- Basic familiarity with backend tools (e.g., Flask, Django, Postgre
SQL) - Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Interest in biomedical or clinical research settings
- Willingness to learn secure coding practices and follow institutional data policies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Additional technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Security+, etc.) may be encouraged but not required.
