The Distributed Computer Systems Specialist provides tier 1 and limited tier 2 technical support to users across an 11-county health department consortium based in Gainesville, Florida. The role installs and maintains distributed systems hardware, software, and communications components, troubleshoots technical issues, and requires frequent travel to multiple sites for on-site support. This position assists the System Administrator with LAN/WAN support, workstation setup, help desk operations, and user training across the North Central Florida IT Consortium.
Keyqualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Experience and knowledge of distributed processing operations
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide user training
- Industry standard certifications preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, Citrix)
