Overview

Responsible work of a general Law Enforcement nature with primary emphasis on the protection of life and property and the routine enforcement of Federal, State and Local laws, with a specific emphasis on the State and Local Traffic Laws. Work in this classification involves an element of personal danger. Employees must be able to act effectively without direct supervision and to exercise discretion, caution, common sense, reasonable calmness and self-control under adverse conditions while maintaining control of a particular situation or emergency.

The Following Eligibility Requirements Must Be Met

• Not on disciplinary probation
• Motorcycle operator license endorsement required by date of interview
• Law enforcement motorcycle operator certification is preferred but not required for selection. This certification will be mandated once appointed to the team
• Two-year commitment required
