Overview

Assistant Director Supply Chain Operations at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. This position is incentive eligible. The role focuses on daily operations of all supply chain functions within the facility and may include responsibilities for selected campuses. The position supports integration with the hospital’s primary functions, policy development, performance improvement, and staff orientation and education.

Major Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all facility Supply Chain activities
  • Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations
  • Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility, including standardization programs for all supply chain functions, SMART cleanup, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI
  • Facilitate implementation of market-based purchasing projects at the facility
  • Execute the implementation and operational plan for all point of use systems
  • Coordinate, manage, and evaluate facility Supply Chain personnel
  • Create a supportive environment for staff development and the delivery of supply chain solutions
  • Raise and resolve facility-based supply chain issues and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate and drive efforts to enable supply improvement initiatives (SII) to succeed within the facility
  • Facilitate standardization of products and optimize supply utilization through collaboration with physicians and clinicians
  • Manage the facility implementation plan, identify and mitigate risks, and monitor resource allocations for successful execution
  • Execute the Supply Chain Performance Measurement plan and report results to the Director of Supply Chain Operations
  • Implement a continuous improvement program for supply chain functions
  • Ensure knowledge is captured and shared
  • Determine staffing needs and qualifications; develop and maintain competency checklists and attestations
  • Control costs without compromising patient safety and quality of care
  • Attend in-service presentations and complete mandatory education weekly (infection control, patient safety, quality improvements, MSDS, OSHA standards)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of occurrence reporting systems and report potential patient safety issues
  • Authorized to transport and deliver medications and related materials within core competencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three years leadership experience preferred and/or AD program graduate (preferred)
