Job SummaryThe Echo/Vascular Manager functions as the first-line administrative leader, with 24-hour accountability for care delivery including budget of assigned departments. The manager must be able to navigate proficiently within the EHR. He/She must be able to clinically assist with patient care and be able to function in the charge role if indicated. The manager coordinates, elevates and resolves problems and conflicts as they occur.
With support from supervisors, charge staff and educators, the manager directly supervises the personnel assigned to the departments. He/she ensures the effective daily operation of the departments on 24-7 basis by monitoring all activities necessary to provide consistent high quality patient care, including staffing, equipment, supplies and services. In this role, the manager will coordinate the activities of staff, is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the unit and staff including those orders, treatments, plans of care, clinical pathways are being carried out in a consistent manner.
The manager has knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations that govern clinical practice and must exercise sound, independent judgment in adapting and applying leadership and clinical principles to specific situations. The manager relies on experience, judgment and collaboration to plan and accomplish goals. The manager assists in the advancement of the professional practice environment by communicating the NGHS strategic direction and focusing on activities that support the strategic direction.
Provides support for staff engagement and quality teams including coaching team members in their professional participation. Assists with overall clinical governance and other projects as assigned.
- Licensure or other certifications:
Registry or license in Echo and/or Vascular. Current BLS certification - Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree - Minimum Experience:
Three to Five years experience in a leadership/supervisory role. Three to five years of clinical in Echo/Vascular specialty - Other:
