Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations at their Alachua, FL facility. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of production processes, and the ability to implement and improve efficiency. Let’s get to work.

Temp to hire position, Alachua, FL.

Schedule:

full-time, Monday–Friday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm. Salary: $29–$36 per hour.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production goals are met.
• Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are consistently met.
• Oversee production workflow, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, ensuring adequate stock for production.
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Train, mentor, and develop production employees to improve skills, performance, and team efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including work instructions, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
• Track and report on production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste reduction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience with continuous improvement practices such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar is a plus.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience:

4–7 years in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Knowledge of production systems, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical requirements:
  
  prolonged standing/walking; lift up to 45 lb; manual dexterity; ability to climb/bend/squat/kneel/crawl/reach above shoulder; withstand varying temperatures; sit, stand, bend, kneel, or walk for up to eight hours; use PPE (steel‑toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
