Position OverviewCurrently, PHOS is seeking a Lead Search Marketing Specialist who is passionate about setting the standard for search marketing excellence and leading a team of SEO and PPC experts to deliver data-driven, high-impact results.
This leadership role is focused on guiding search strategy, mentoring and developing team members, and championing innovation across SEO, PPC, and reporting to continually elevate client outcomes and internal processes.
The Lead Search Marketing Specialist works closely with the Lead Digital Campaign Specialist and Director of Marketing to improve client performance, strengthen team capability, and ensure operational and financial excellence across the marketing department.
A passion for driving search marketing excellence through data, strategy, and continuous innovation.As Lead Search Marketing Specialist, you will do the following for clients and/or PHOS:
- Lead the implementation of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) for the Search Marketing Team, facilitating Level 10 Meetings and Quarterly Planning Sessions.
- Lead and manage team members on the Search Marketing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing search marketing processes and workflows, streamline communication, and implement new tools or technologies that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct high-level search research and present strategic insights to clients during kick-off and planning meetings.
- Possess a strategic mindset, able to develop comprehensive SEO and PPC strategies aligned with clients’ goals and objectives.
- Cast vision for new opportunities, tools, or systems that foster more results-driven work and higher-quality Search Marketing-owned deliverables.
- Leverage analytics and reporting tools to gather insights, track performance metrics, and make data-driven recommendations that elevate client outcomes and agency-wide decision-making.
- Encourage experimentation, innovation, and forward-thinking solutions to drive results across SEO, PPC, and reporting initiatives.
- Define, refine, and enforce PHOS’ standards for SEO and PPC deliverables, guiding the team in continuously raising the bar for search marketing excellence.
- Define and implement advanced keyword research, optimization, and bidding strategies to ensure alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Reinforce a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Search Marketing team by facilitating regular training sessions, workshops, and peer learning opportunities.
- Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and challenges, providing strategic search marketing guidance and support.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented strategies and initiatives, as well as individual team members’ performance, ensuring continual growth and improvement.
You will set the temperature for what PHOS standards are for deliverables and processes. Delivering excellence in all that we produce is critical to the success of the organization and client outcomes.
Client Satisfaction & Retention Team Member Flourishing Profitability & Efficiency Requirements- Minimum of 5 years of experience in search engine marketing and team leadership.
- Deep understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven track record of implementing processes, fostering collaboration, and developing high-performing teams.
- A passion for driving measurable results, championing innovation, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
