Position: Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC): Project A.N.T.

The Florida Conservation Corps (FLCC) Ameri Corps Program is administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Half‑term members serve 900 hours (6 months) in Florida State Parks. FLCC members will serve in one of two project areas:
Project A.N.T. (Ameri Corps Non‑native Plant Terminators) and Project R.O.A.R (Regional Outreach and Awareness Recruiters). Members are required to work 35–40 hours per week and must have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Manage invasive plant infestations through herbicide use and manual removal.
  • Survey for invasive plants and perform trail improvements.
  • Recruit volunteers and educate park visitors and the local community about invasive plant issues.
  • Participate in disaster relief response training and deployment when available.
  • Coordinate large‑scale projects and promote Florida State Parks.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to complete an FBI/FDLE background check.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to tolerate extreme environmental conditions in Florida.
