Overview
Associate Director of Development, UF Parent & Family Giving at University of Florida. The role involves implementing fundraising activities in support of university-wide and Academic College initiatives and building a pipeline of parent major gift donors. Reports to the Director of Parent & Family Giving and assists in developing and executing the parent & family giving program and strategy to fulfill UF Advancement needs.
Responsibilities- Portfolio Management:
Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of university-wide and Academic College initiatives with a donor-centric approach. Conduct face-to-face visits to advance solicitations toward closure. Maximize travel plans to regions associated with the incoming first-year parent class. Focus on regions with the most $100K+ rated prospects and on non-alumni parents with capacity of $100K+.
Increase annual giving solicitations for parent donors who decline Council membership. - UF Parent & Family Giving Program:
Assist Director with managing a comprehensive parent & family giving program, including recruitment, communication, and events for the UF Gator Family Giving Council (GFGC). Use data, unit partners, volunteers, and other leads to grow the program. Develop new funding initiatives to broaden the donor base and build new donor parent pipelines. Develop and present major gift proposals and acknowledge gifts in meaningful ways aligned with UF Advancement values.
Build collaborative relationships with the Division of Student Life and other campus stakeholders to facilitate information exchange and joint programming. Serve on work groups supporting campaign, fundraising, and strategic planning for parent-related programs. Support engagement with Gator Family Giving Council members, prospects, and donors for activities and events. - Development Strategies:
Identify and qualify prospective parent donors and acquire new active council members using research and broad outreach. Assist in planning and supporting activities and events involving parent and family council members, volunteers, and prospects. Engage council members and donors rdinate individual engagement and stewardship plans for qualified major gift parent prospects. Maintain collaboration with key campus stakeholders to facilitate information exchange and joint programming.
Develop and participate in programs and events on and off campus where parent donors are present. - Administrative:
Ensure best practices aligned with UF Advancement’s Vision and Values, maintain office systems, files and records, and effective use of strategic tools and resources. - Salary and Benefits:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area or a bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience as specified (one year with Master’s, three years with Bachelor’s). - Preferred Qualifications:
Two to three years of fundraising experience with success in major gifts; university or nonprofit experience; strong writing and verbal communication; ability to work strategically and collaboratively; data-driven mindset; ability to travel (valid driver’s license required). - Special Instructions To Applicants:
