Position OverviewWe are currently hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary team in Gainesville, FL. This role involves providing care to patients requiring specialized pulmonary treatment in a fast-paced acute care setting. Nurses on this unit play a vital role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and collect comprehensive data related to the patient’s health status
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and medications
- Promote patient safety and effective use of healthcare resources
- Ensure quality care that aligns with our patient‑focused model
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years)
- Licensure: Active Florida RN license or Multistate Compact License (required)
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required before start date; NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire
- Comfortable managing a 7:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio
- Must live within a 60‑minute commute of Gainesville, FL
- In‑person interview required, including a shadow session and facility tour
