You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.
About the roleThe role involves determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist works under guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. Familiarity with plasma collection regulations or a manufacturing environment is required. Follow guidance from Bio Life Medical Affairs and provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation required.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP, or PA.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation & Benefits SummaryU.S. hourly wage range: $31.92 – $43.89. The actual wage offered may vary by qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. U.S. employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and wellness benefits. Eligible employees may receive up to 80 hours of sick time per year and up to 120 hours of paid vacation as new hires.
