Job Description: We are seeking a fully funded postdoctoral associate position in bioinformatics and computational biology. This position will be jointly mentored by two investigators including Dr. Li Chen (onsite) in the Department of Biostatistics at University of Florida and Dr. Hongkai Ji (remote) in the Department of Biostatistics at John Hopkins University. The role focuses on developing statistical, machine learning, and deep learning methods to analyze multi‑omics data (genetic, epigenetic, transcriptomic, imaging, single‑cell genomics, and spatial omics data) with the goal of understanding the underlying genetic architecture of complex traits and diseases.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze multi‑omics datasets using advanced statistical and computational methods.
  • Write manuscripts and present research findings at conferences.
  • Support grant application preparation and data management.
  • Collaborate with investigators and integrate complementary expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proficiency in R and/or Python for data analysis.
  • Experience in genetic or genomic data analysis is preferred.

Salary: $62,232 annually; commensurate with experience and in accordance with current NIH postdoctoral salary guidelines.

Preferred:

  • Proficient in R/Python.
  • Prior experience in genetic or genomic data analysis.
