Job DescriptionA Post‑doctoral associate in molecular biology, NGS sequencing, bioinformatics, and nanopore sequencing will work under the supervision of Dr. Feng Tang in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, FL. The position focuses on leveraging sequencing and proteomics techniques to study how DNA damage induced by environmental exposure and endogenous metabolism contributes to cancer and aging‑related diseases.
The role is initially one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years based on performance, conduct, and available funding.

Required Qualifications- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related field
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong initiative, prioritization, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong background in molecular biology, NGS sequencing, bioinformatics, and nanopore sequencing
- Proven publication record in related fields
