Department Manager – McDonald's (Franchise)

Apply for the Department Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is the employer, not McDonald’s USA. Employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling are handled by the franchisee.

The department manager leads a specific department—Guest Service, Kitchen, or People—ensuring a fast, accurate, friendly experience while meeting sales and profit goals. Responsibilities include managing systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; setting goals; delegating tasks; and reporting results to managers.

• Lead shifts and oversee service or kitchen operations to maintain quality and speed.
• Ensure crew and managers deliver a great customer experience.
• Manage promotions and organize front counter, McCafé, and drive-thru areas.
• Maintain food safety, control food cost, and train kitchen staff on new menu items.
• Hire qualified crew, train them, and schedule them to meet sales and profit goals.
• Recognize and motivate crew throughout their tenure.

• Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Flexible schedule, positive team player, and passion for fast-paced work.
• Must be 18 years or older.
