Security Officer | Emergency Dept Spring Hill | 7:00 PM TO 7:00 AM | Full Time

Contributes to the safety and welfare of patients, visitors and staff by executing Corporate, Hospital and Department policies and procedures in providing security for this institution.

• AHCA Level 2 clearance required.
• High school graduate or equivalent. One year of security or law enforcement experience required, preferably in a health care facility.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a State of Florida Class "D" Unarmed Guard's License or have current Police Standards Certification.
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
  Employees may operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non‑frequent driver. A frequent driver is defined as someone who uses their personal or Shands automobile at least once daily, at least five individual trips per week, or drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of their job.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a State of Florida Class D Security Officer license or have Police Standards Certification.
