Job SummaryComfort Temp Heating and Air is seeking a Residential Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on maintaining the efficiency, safety, and reliability of residential HVAC systems through routine inspections, diagnostics, and seasonal maintenance.

Responsibilities- Travel to residential homes as scheduled for preventative maintenance visits.
- Perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, package units, and mini‑split systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to system failure.
- Check refrigerant levels, electrical components, motors, belts, capacitors, filters, and overall system operation.
- Clean condenser and evaporator coils, blower assemblies, drain lines, and other essential components.
- Test system performance, airflow, and thermostat operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of HVAC tools, parts, and maintenance materials.
- Clearly document maintenance findings, recommendations, and completed work.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding system condition, maintenance needs, and recommended repairs.
- Assist senior technicians with repairs, replacements, or system upgrades as needed.
- 1–2 years of experience in residential HVAC maintenance or service preferred.
- Completion of an HVAC training program, vocational school, or apprenticeship preferred.
- EPA certification required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and occasionally more than 75 pounds.
- Solid understanding of residential HVAC systems and preventative maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in the field.
- Strong customer service, communication, and professionalism when working in customers’ homes.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and company standards.
