The technician is also responsible for performing regular maintenance tasks, such as winterizing systems or replacing damaged parts, and ensuring all work complies with safety and local code regulations.

Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for this role.

An Irrigation Technician typically requires hands‑on experience with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as a solid understanding of system components like valves, sprinklers, and controllers. Knowledge of water conservation practices and local codes is important. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot issues such as leaks and poor water pressure, along with a strong attention to detail.
