As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service
** How you will do it
*** Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
* Apprentices will participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy that will build skill sets to provide continued opportunities for recognition, monetary rewards and advancement.
* Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues as well as customer needs.
* You will keep JCI, contractors, and the customer advised of job progress and issues as needed.
* You will meet attendance requirements for required Union training for first year.
* Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities.
* Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
** What we look for
*** Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
* 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
* Generally required knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
* Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
* Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site
* Self-starter with ability to eventually work independently.
* Prioritize safety in all forms.
* This position requires a valid driver’s license.
** Preferred
* * 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.
** This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
** Pay Range: $20-$30 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.  Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
