Maintenance Technician

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance and repair tasks within the apartment community.

• Prepare units for new move-ins
• Perform grounds work such as cleanup, blowing breezeways, and light landscaping
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently
• Perform minor electrical repairs, including replacing fixtures, bulbs, and fuses
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks and unclogging drains
• Handle minor painting, carpentry, and masonry tasks
• Maintain HVAC systems if certified, including repairs and replacements
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and perform adjustments
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for maintenance tasks
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours
• Work flexible hours as needed
• Maintain safety standards and clean work areas
• Perform other tasks as assigned
