Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Senior Level Diesel Reefer Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Gainesville, Florida. A Reefer Technician will diagnose, overhaul, adjust and repair all series of truck and trailer equipment focusing on all refrigeration units such as Carrier.

Salary & Benefits- Hourly Pay: $33.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus up to $700 ( $100 per new ASE certification)
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 per quarter
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, Weekends OFF - Hours:
First Shift 6:45 am – 3:15 pm - Annual Merit Pay Increases Every Year

Unlimited bonuses up to $1,500 per hire
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational/Technical Certification or Post Secondary degree preferred
- Basic tools required
- 3+ years relevant work experience (preferably on heavy‑and medium‑duty equipment)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- Must have 2+ years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy‑and medium‑duty equipment
- Basic computer skills (PC, Windows, mouse)
- Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, background check, and Ryder road test
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
- Complete complex mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Work unsupervised on most tasks
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
- Utilize shop management system and electronic documentation
- Operate within federal/provincial and corporate safety guidelines
- Act as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
- Access and use maintenance documents
- Support additional duties as required (Service Island support, etc.)
- Complete SBTIII training within 180 days
- Complete 2 OEM online diagnostic courses within 365 days
