The Brenau University Department of Math and Science is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach anatomy and physiology lectures and associated labs.

Eligible candidates must hold at minimum a Master’s degree in biology or a related field, have experience teaching at the college level, and have prior experience teaching anatomy and physiology specifically. Candidates must provide evidence of effective and innovative teaching in traditional environments and be comfortable working with a human donor in lab classes. Candidates must be available to teach day and summer classes in person.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in biology or related field
  • Demonstrated potential for effective teaching and scholarship
  • Evidence of professional collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of proficiency with Microsoft software and Google applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to those with significant teaching experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment
  • Preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience
  • College-level teaching experience in the discipline of A&P
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaching of Anatomy and Physiology lectures and labs in person with 2 lectures/week and 1 lab/week.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Aptitudes

Able to lift 5 pounds on a regular basis and 20 pounds maximum, periodically.

Employees who operate university vehicles, are employed in a sensitive position, or travel regularly may be subject to post-hire drug screening and random drug-screening. All employees are subject to reasonable suspicion drug screening.
