Behavioral Health Counselor – Crisis Center

Join our team at Avita Community Partners in Gainesville, GA. We provide a high quality, evidence‑based environment where clinicians support adults in crisis and subsistence detoxification.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments for individuals entering the crisis walk‑in center and the temporary observation unit.
  • Develop and implement treatment and safety plans for adults in the temporary observation unit.
  • Coordinate follow‑up care and admissions to the temporary observation unit, crisis stabilization unit, or hospitals.
  • Participate in daily clinical care team meetings and bi‑monthly evidence‑based training sessions.
Compensation & Hours

Full time – 40 hours per week.

Hourly rate based on licensure:

  • Unlicensed with a Master’s degree – $21.63 per hour.
  • Associate level licensure (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT) – $25.00 per hour.
  • Full license in Georgia (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) – $30.00 per hour.
Qualifications
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Georgia as instructed (LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Ability to become licensed at the associate level within six months of hire.
  • Experience in crisis care, detoxification, or short‑term residential settings is preferred.
