Speech-Language Pathologist for Mundy Mill Arts Academy School Year)
Position Overview: Working in cooperation with appropriate district supervisors, teachers, parents and students, the Speech-Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language and hearing disorders, helping students adjust and access the general education curriculum.

Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
- Provide speech and language therapy to students.
- Evaluate students using appropriate diagnostic instruments; interpret test results.
- Develop eligibility and evaluation reports.
- Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEP) according to local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Conduct IEP meetings and convey results and recommendations for educational programming to parents/guardians.
- Consult with parents and teachers; review student folders, previous evaluations and related documents to develop and implement appropriate educational plans for students and facilitate carryover of learned skills.
- Submit computerized Medicaid billing for reimbursement.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in speech language pathology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in speech language pathology. Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in speech and language pathology at level T-5 or above required.
Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to see, stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
Duties & Responsibilities: Employees are expected to attend all required meetings as approved by the supervisor and adhere to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission’s Code of Ethics for Educators, all Gainesville City Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, school system procedures, and all other applicable professional performance criteria. Maintenance of criminal history check is required.
