Job Title: Warehouse & Yard Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Position Type: Full-Time | Exempt
Job Overview:
The Warehouse & Yard Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory control, fleet management, tool and supply purchasing and logistics for the organization. This role ensures efficient coordination between crews, administrative support staff, and operations to maintain the tools, equipment, and materials necessary for project execution. While the role works closely with an administrative team member for purchasing a specific product line, the Warehouse & Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing operational supplies, inventory processes, and vendor coordination for all other warehouse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee warehouse and yard operations, including inventory management and material staging.
- Manage fleet operations for boats, trucks, trailers, and equipment, including maintenance, repairs, and replacement scheduling.
- Serve as the first point of contact for crews regarding weekly equipment and tool checks and issue resolution.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment swaps and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of small tools, consumables, and PPE; oversee distribution, tracking and purchasing.
- Plan and schedule receiving, deliveries, and job-related inventory needs.
- Oversee and coordinate cycle counts with the shop crew and Controller.
- Collaborate with administrative staff for purchasing related to a specific product line.
- Manage purchasing for operational and job-related supplies outside that product line, including vendor communications and order tracking.
- Collaborate with leadership to align warehouse operations with company objectives and project schedules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse, yard, or fleet management (construction or marine industry experience preferred).
- Proven track record in inventory control, purchasing, and logistics.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in a warehouse or yard setting.
- Experience with ERP systems;
Net Suite experience is a plus.
Work Setting:
- Hybrid of physical work in a warehouse/yard environment and administrative responsibilities in an office setting. Frequent interaction with crews, vendors, and management.
- Requires physical activity including walking, lifting, and equipment inspection.
Competitive salary ($50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience)
- Company paid employee only medical (after 60 days and the 1st of the following month)
- Dental, Vision, and ancillary insurance is employee paid
- (7) Paid Holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, and Christmas - Simple IRA Retirement Plan, up to 3% matched by MSI after 90-days of employment
