Maintenance Mechanic​/Machine Builder

pdblowers,Inc. is seeking a skilled individual that has experience in the following areas:

• Rotating equipment system integration
  • Mounting blowers and vacuum pumps
  • Mounting motors 1/4 HP to 900 HP
  • Mounting v-belt drives or couplings
  • Alignment – including laser alignment
  • Mounting ancillary components such as pumps, silencers, check valves, relief valves filters
  • Mounting instruments, switches, transmitters – control related devices
• Pipe threading
• Flanged joints
• Alignment tools
• Assembly of steel and stainless steel compression style tubing
• Electrical including running conduit, pulling wire and terminations in junction boxes and control panels
• Welding – MIG and TIG
  • Primarily steel and stainless steel with some aluminum
• Fabrication and customization of parts
  • Experience with press brakes, rolls, hydraulic punching, saw and shear
  • Must be proficient with hand tools including drills (Hand and mag drills), tapping, grinders, cut off tools, wrenches, saws, impact tools
  • Oxy-acetylene torch for cutting
  • Hand held plasma torch for cutting
• Machine shop experience including lathes and mills
• Crane experience including rigging
• Reading Blueprints, P&’s and electrical schematics
• Must be proficient in the use of measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers and micrometers
• Physical requirements
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs
  • Must be able to work 8-10 hours per day
• Experience – 10+ years preferred in equipment assembly and installation
• Millwright Experience is a plus
• License or certification required:

Typical working hours are 6 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday
