Machine Operator

Operate and control direct embroidery machines to produce high-quality embroidery according to production work orders, ensuring timely completion.

• Follow all safety guidelines, including stopping the machine before working near the needle path.
• Identify moving parts, pinch and cut points.
• Be aware of fire exits, emergency evacuation plans, inclement weather plans, and power loss procedures.
• Wear proper attire: shoes, clothing, hair tied back, glasses.
• Handle chemicals carefully; use spray-out chemicals safely.
• Use sharp tools safely: snips, scissors, needles, box cutters.
• No smoking in the building.
• No food or drink on the production floor, water only.

• Maintain a positive attitude with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
• Follow verbal instructions from the floor lead.
• Follow all written work order instructions.

• Read work orders thoroughly.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Perform start-of-shift checks and initiate new orders.
• Tie threads for color changes.
• Thread needles properly and change needles correctly.
• Manage bobbins: change, clean, load.
• Start and stop machines correctly.
• Load and unload machines for embroidery.
• Run the machine, perform basic design recoveries during operation.
• Finish embroidery by trimming threads, cutting backing, and removing soluble stabilizer.

• Steam, fold, hang tag, label boxes, and complete production reports.

7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with two 10-minute breaks and two 30-minute lunch breaks.

• Two weeks paid vacation after one year of service.
