Field Service Tech - Poultry Inspection, Batching & Portioning

This full‑time, travel position (85%) is located with JBT Marel. As a Field Service Tech you’ll provide customer support for installed systems and new installations. You will test, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug electro‑mechanical equipment and computer systems in meat processing plants across the U.S.

• Ensure the JBT Marel experience matches our promise of superior performance, service, and quality with outstanding communication skills.
• Work with electrical/pneumatic/embedded controllers/servo systems (dependent on experience).
• Complete on‑site evaluations, install machine enhancements, and appropriately test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Perform break‑fix services on high‑technology food‑processing equipment.

• Two years of technical trade or equivalent experience, including troubleshooting, installing, or repairing electrical/pneumatic/embedded controllers or industrial machines.
• Understanding of meat processing plants (meat, poultry, fish) and interdependent equipment is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude, ability to use tools, and knowledge of electrical components and current flow for troubleshooting.
• Ability to qualify for a U.S. passport.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis.

Standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods. Lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs repetitively. Manual dexterity, normal hearing and vision. Work may be done on ladders and platforms and in cold, hot, humid, or wet plant environments, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.

The hourly pay range is $25.00–$35.00. In addition, you’ll receive an extensive onboarding period, a one‑year development track, a personal development plan, and opportunities for growth within an international company.
