Maintenance Manager

Ultimate Staffing is currently sourcing a qualified Maintenance Manager for our client in Gainesville, GA. The role focuses on providing a safe and productive work environment while managing maintenance support for the facility and ensuring minimal production disruptions.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems.
  • Assist in managing preventive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Manage 6‑8 technicians aiding in performance reviews, training, and hiring.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, monitor systems, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Lead, manage, and train the maintenance team to ensure effective performance.
  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with training and mentoring maintenance staff in best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide repair efforts.
  • Safely and efficiently support and lead team members on maintenance processes utilizing strong leadership, communication skills, training aids and on‑the‑job training techniques.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment using troubleshooting methods, PM maintenance methods and 5S standards for organization and cleanliness.
  • Understand and utilize job distribution to balance available manpower based on team member's qualifications and skill set.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions regarding safety concerns, quality issues, assembly downtime, etc.
  • Plan and perform all operations necessary to modify, repair, and maintain complicated machinery while training and supporting other less experienced technicians.
  • Diagnose and correct machine trouble, including dismantling and reassembly requiring advanced mechanical skills.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing industrial environment.
  • Proven experience in planning maintenance operations.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • LO/TO, Confined Spaces experience.
  • Forklift certification and Train the Trainer.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components including start/stop stations, relays/motor starters and ability to calculate Watts, Volts, Amps, Ohms and electrical loads.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
  • Must come from a manufacturing background in maintenance‑heavy mechanical, some hydraulics equipment, PM and repair of conveyors, pumps, grinding booths, paint booths.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
