The Senior Quality Control role leads the quality control program at a die‑casting manufacturing company in Northeast Georgia. Responsibilities include ensuring all customer and company requirements are consistently met.
This hands‑on leadership role oversees the development, implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of the quality management system (QMS) aligned to ISO 9001:2015. The position requires strong collaboration with operations, engineering, purchasing, and customers, with direct communication across all levels of the organization.

Our client, a diecasting company, was founded in 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to the present location near Gainesville, Georgia (45 minutes Northeast of Atlanta) in 1990. Over the years, they have grown to 12 fully automated die‑casting machine cells ranging from 150 tons to 1,000 tons, pouring both aluminum and zinc die‑cast alloys. They have extensive secondary finishing capabilities including machining, powder coating, and vibratory finishing.

What you will do
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Lead the preparation, execution, and documentation of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities and provide customer‑ready documentation for approval.
- Develop, update, and administer all quality‑related documentation (Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions, forms, records) to support production, control, testing, inspection, and testing activities.
- Manage calibration and gauging programs: create/procure required gages, calibrate measuring equipment, and maintain calibration records.
- Collect, analyze, and report measurement data to identify trends, process capability, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in receiving, in‑process, and final inspections as needed; support testing activities to ensure product quality.
- Communicate measurement findings to team members and coordinate corrective actions with manufacturing and engineering as required.
- Maintain a culture of quality and continuous improvement through data‑driven insights.
- Perform routine audits of daily inspections and monitor to make certain all Quality functions are operating within requirements.
- Position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Five years’ minimum experience in various quality assurance roles.
- Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.).
- Ability to understand and operate a manual CMM.
- Working knowledge of machining, processing operations, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
