The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations in a further processing poultry facility with four active production lines, ensuring equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe, efficient cooked and ready-to-eat (
RTE
) production. This role requires hands‑on experience maintaining further processing equipment, including ovens, fryers, formers, batter/breader systems, spiral freezers, and high‑speed packaging lines. The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance teams while partnering closely with Production, QA, Food Safety, Safety, Engineering,िप合同清洁团队,以支持高度监管的高吞吐量环境。

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
  • Interview, hire, lead, train, and develop maintenance technicians, leads, and clerks.
  • Assign daily work orders, set priorities, and balance reactive and preventive tasks.
  • Build a strong culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Conduct coaching sessions, performance evaluations and support technical skill development.
Maintenance Operations
  • Oversee daily troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment such as cookers, ovens, fryers, batter/breader systems, formers, spiral freezers, metal detection, check weighers, case packers, robotics, and high‑speed packaging equipment, in addition to conveyors, motors, pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety/GMP standards.
  • Maintain full documentation of work orders, PM tasks, breakdowns, and repairs.
  • Support allergen changeovers, sanitation windows, and product transitions by ensuring equipment readiness and maintenance coordination.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Program
  • Develop and manage PM/PdM programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Develop PM/PdM schedules aligned to four production lines
    , minimizing impact to throughput while supporting sanitation and food safety requirements.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and implement proactive corrective actions.
  • Track KPIs such as uptime, mean time between failure (
    MTBF
    ), and PM compliance.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, USDA, EPA, NFPA and company regulations.
  • Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper Lockout/Tagout (
    LOTO
    ), machine guarding, and safe work practices.
Budgeting & Inventory Control
  • Manage maintenance budget, including labor, parts, supplies, and contractors.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, and cost control.
  • Recommend and plan capital projects and long‑term equipment upgrades.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Production to address equipment issues and improve line efficiency.
  • Support Safety with hazard corrections and engineering controls.
  • Work closely with QA and Food Safety to ensure maintenance activities support RTE compliance, cook validations, allergen controls, and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on new equipment installations and facility expansions.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Directly supervises up to 5 Maintenance Supervisors and provides indirect leadership to all hourly Maintenance personnel reporting directly and indirectly corona those Supervisors across multiple shifts.
Qualifications
  • Required experience in further processing maintenance within a poultry or food manufacturing environment, including cooked or RTE operations.
  • Experience supporting multiple simultaneous production lines and high‑speed packaging required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC‑based systems.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree חד certification strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience specifically in eclipsing, cooked product, or RTE food manufacturing.
  • Experience with CMMS systems required.
