About the UnitNeuro IMC is a 13‑bed Intermediate Care nursing unit dedicated to stroke care. Patients include high‑acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, IV thrombolytic treatment, continuous EEG monitoring, and other neurological disorders such as Guillain‑Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and ALS.
Job SummaryCapable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Provides direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team, seeks and provides feedback, participates in quality improvement, and contributes to unit governance and culture.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities- Act as a partner on the care team and respond to needs for assistance.
- Adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility.
- Lead interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriate care and smooth transitions.
- Demonstrate competence in RN I performance expectations, applying the nursing process and evidence‑based practice.
- Effectively delegate care while maintaining accountability for quality.
- Communicate clearly with all team members; incorporate safety behavior and error prevention tools.
- Apply Sister Simone Roach's 7 Cs of Caring in daily practice.
- Seek opportunities for quality improvement and continuous learning.
- Support unit‑based shared governance and self‑care activities.
- Achieve de‑escalation training certification as appropriate.
- Support quality of care and patient experience initiatives.
- Weight lifted: up to 100 lbs (occasionally 0‑30 % of time).
- Weight carried: up to 50 lbs (occasionally 0‑30 % of time).
- Vision, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing: frequently 31‑65 % of time.
- Core tasks: reading, writing, reasoning, talking, keyboarding.
- Licensure: RN in Georgia.
- Education:
Associate's Degree (ADN) or Diploma. - Experience:
at least 1 year RN experience, meeting RN I performance expectations.
- BSN preferred.
