Registered Nurse – Regional Support

Gentiva Hospice
• Full‑time
• Travel across multiple locations in Augusta, Martinez, Athens, Gainesville, Alpharetta, Douglasville, Stockbridge, Newnan, and Conyers.

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will deliver direct patient care and support families, while stepping into temporary assignments at various branches as needed to address staffing gaps or census increases. This is an opportunity for an RN looking for flexibility, variety, and purpose‑driven work across multiple locations.

Schedule & Travel

Typically Monday‑Friday with occasional on‑call responsibilities. A company fleet vehicle is provided to eligible employees.

Territory

Augusta, Martinez, Athens, Gainesville, Alpharetta, Douglasville, Stockbridge, Newnan, and Conyers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and manage hospice patients’ plans of care.
  • Support and lead interdisciplinary care teams including LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff.
  • Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs.
  • Document care thoroughly and accurately.
  • Supervise and guide HHA/LPN staff.
  • Educate patients and families about medications, care needs, and safety.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and provide after‑hours support as assigned.
  • Collaborate with physicians and attend interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Assist in referrals, resource connections, and compliance with payer requirements.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in the state of employment.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience (acute care, oncology, long‑term care, hospice, or home health preferred).
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.
