Location: Northeast Georgia Health System
Position Summary: Provide patient‑centered nursing care in an urgent care setting, utilizing the nursing process and maintaining high standards of practice.

Schedule:
12‑hour morning‑evening shift
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Georgia
- BLS certification required, or to be obtained within 30 days of hire
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical setting
- Preferred licensure or certifications (if any)
Skills And Abilities
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Successful completion of nursing skills checklist
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills – greet patients and visitors professionally
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Patient confidentiality at all times
- Planning for patient safety
- Maintain orderly work area
- Ensure correct charging of patient encounters
- Account for supplies utilized and communicate when supplies are needed
- Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs; provide appropriate care and intervention.
- Perform initial assessment upon patient arrival and develop plan of care in collaboration with physician.
- Perform ongoing assessment and communicate assessment and plan of care through written documentation and verbal reports.
- Document nursing interventions and implement physician orders in a timely manner.
- Correctly administer and document medication regimen.
- Identify and implement infection control and safety practices.
- Organize patient care and set priorities by addressing acute needs first; implement physicians’ orders within appropriate timeframe.
- Serve as clinical resource for MOAs and other non‑licensed staff.
- Comply with network drills, CPR requirements, and other network or health system requirements.
- Maintain current skills checklist and assist with performing skills checklist on other employees.
- Achieve a minimum of six hours continuing education per review year.
- Serve as preceptor to nursing students or new staff members.
- Cross‑train to perform basic radiological and laboratory functions if necessary.
- Conduct at least one clinically related in‑service for center staff during review year.
- Weight lifted: up to 50 lbs (occasionally 0‑30% of time)
- Weight carried: up to 20 lbs (occasionally 0‑30% of time)
- Vision: moderate, frequently 31‑65% of time
- Kneeling/stooping/bending: frequently 31‑65%
- Standing/walking: frequently 31‑65%
- Pushing/pulling: occasionally 0‑30%
- Intensity of work: occasionally 0‑30%
