About the Role:Job Summary
Neuro/Medical is a 36-bed Neuro medical and Intermediate Care nursing unit. As a mixed Neuro unit, care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care neuro patients and standard acute neuro patients including but not limited to:
- Lower to high acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients
- Patients post 25-hour from thrombolytic treatment
- Patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring
- Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre' Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS
- Patients with hemodynamic instability needing antiarrhythmic
- Chest tube care and management
- Epidural/PCA management
- Tracheostomy care
Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience - Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
