Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep

OverviewThe Supervisor is a part‑time, customer‑focused team member who works varying weekly schedules year‑round. The Supervisor assists the management team, oversees team members in a specific department, satellite location, or store, and provides outstanding customer service to the academic and co‑curricular community.
Responsibilities- Spend the majority of your time on the sales floor coaching and modeling excellent customer service.
- Train and oversee daily work activity of team members in one or more departments or specified operational functions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all departments in the store to provide daily support, direction, and guidance to customers and team members.
- Help enforce loss prevention procedures and ensure that the area of responsibility is properly merchandised and operationally sound.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints, escalating problems to the management team when necessary.
- Assist in daily store operations in partnership with the management team and act as Manager‑on‑Duty when the manager is absent or at satellite locations.
- Assign work and provide focused direction to team members to manage multiple projects and ensure proper workload execution.
- Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments as needed.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Adapt to a part‑time schedule that may be set or vary to meet store needs.
- Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications- 2+ years’ experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills to match customers with appropriate products.
- Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
