Service Technician

Position responsible for customer service field activities and distribution systems and facilities. Performs such work in accordance with company regulations and safety procedures.

• Utility Tech Responsibilities – Performs reads & re‑read order of residential, commercial and industrial gas meters, records readings for billing, observes and reports abnormal or dangerous conditions.
• Disconnects, paint meters, service & construction helper, atmospheric corrosion survey & remedial action; complete safety training, change index and meter glass, complete electronic orders and locate damage prevention. Perform other duties as assigned.
• All Apprentice Service Tech responsibilities.
• Install, maintain, replace and remove meters and regulators.
• Residential and small commercial service activation.
• Replace service valves, perform minor appliance repair and adjustments.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–2 years experience.
