Position OverviewOur technicians are responsible for providing superb customer service by diagnosing, performing visual inspections, removal of parts and attachments, warranty repairs, performing preventative maintenance services, repairing lights and wiring, welding, cutting and other repairs. This position reports to the Service Manager, is a 40‑hour a week position and is eligible for overtime. For well‑qualified, proven efficient applicants, we also offer a flat rate compensation plan.
This position also qualifies for a monthly bonus incentive based on your upsales.
- Diagnose and inspect vehicles
- Remove parts and attachments for repair
- Perform warranty repairs and preventative maintenance services
- Repair lights and wiring
- Weld, cut, and conduct other repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of diesel truck service and computer diagnostics experience
- Mechanical aptitude and technical ability required
- Ability to operate power and hand tools and other equipment safely
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Professional appearance and excellent oral and written communication skills with customers, vendors, and other contacts
This position is physically demanding. You will stand 6–8 hours per shift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel, use hand and power tools, lift parts up to 70 pounds several times each shift, use a hoist and test equipment, and be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
