Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Dock Door Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial dock doors and related hardware across various construction sites and facilities. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, safety, and efficiency in loading dock environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of construction projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality service and solutions.
Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial dock doors, including overhead doors, sectional doors, and related hardware systems.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment - if able, and fabrication techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
Conduct metal stud framing, caulking, adjustments as part of comprehensive door system setups.
Lift heavy components safely during installation or repair tasks; ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.
Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate door hanging, remodeling projects, or custom fabrication requirements.
Qualifications Some mechanical knowledge.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools for various installation tasks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations or repairs.
Able to travel nationwide. Installations take place in large distribution centers in all areas of the country.
