Site Medical Director (Wichita Falls, TX) – 8 hrs weekly
Corr Health invites applications for the Site Medical Director role. The candidate will provide medical assessments, deliver quality treatment, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the facility. The Physician reports to the HSA and Chief Medical Officer.
Location & ScheduleWichita Falls, TX – 8 hours weekly On‑Site.
Position OverviewThe Physician is responsible for providing medical assessments and evaluations, ensuring quality treatment for medical issues, and collaborating effectively with other medical, dental, and mental health providers to prevent disease and injury. The Physician provides clinical oversight to the facility and consults with on‑site providers and medical staff as necessary.
Essential Duties- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and relevant authorities to assist with management of medical needs at the site.
- Provides medical assessments and evaluations to patients.
- Initiates and supervises treatment for medical issues.
- Supervises all care given by medical staff.
- Advises other providers on site to enable best possible patient treatment.
- Collaborates effectively with all levels of staff within facility.
- Recommends professional actions that improve quality of care and patient outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited medical school with completion of a postgraduate program in Primary Care.
- Five (5) years of professional experience providing Primary Care.
- Two (2) years of professional experience at an administrative clinical level.
- Active and unencumbered license to practice in the operating state.
Work may involve changing responsibilities over time at the discretion of leadership.

- Proficiency using computers and various software.
- Safe use of standard medical equipment.
- Respect for inmate dignity and confidentiality.
- Maintain all certifications, educational requirements, and licensing for the position.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current TB test (within one year).
- Adhere to facility policies and the Employee Handbook.
- Assist coworkers and work overtime if required.
- Maintain confidentiality, dignity, and security of health records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Undergo security training and orientation on facility safety policies.
- Remain stationary and move throughout the facility, including stairs.
- Move up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate clearly with patients and discern information accurately.
- Identify and assess objects from various distances.
- Maintain composure in stressful situations.
Work is performed inside a correctional facility with exposure to inmate risk and blood borne pathogens. Employees must follow all security rules.
Other- Must comply with all State, Federal, and Local laws, court orders, and professional organization standards.
