Within the manufacturing engineer job description, there are 2 separate job functions. Typically an employee will perform one or the other, not both. Both functions are described within.
Contributing to and participating in PBS reviews. Preparing and presenting Industrialization Reviews to Program Industrial Manager.
Qualification:
B.S degree in a related technical field (e.g.:
Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer/Technology, Aeronautics Engineer, or Electrical Engineer) or an Associate degree with 6 years related experience or 12 years of job related experience
One to three years of manufacturing experience preferred but not required;
Catia or design modeling a plus
Skills:
Must have basic knowledge of production methods, process capabilities, tooling processes, and manufacturing processes; must be capable of preparing well-written reports; basic knowledge of manufacturing and related operations; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to read and review written communication;
English language clarity
Skills:
Able to work collaboratively with cross functional teams; able to maintain an organized workspace and calendar; able to approach problems analytically and creatively
