Job SummaryThe NTMC Health Complete Care Clinic Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily activities of NTMC Health Complete Care Clinics; aka Rural Health Clinic (RHC). The manager coordinates staffing according to productivity models, communicates with departments such as Women's Health, Pediatrics, Primary Care, School-based Telemedicine, and Primary Care at Home to ensure adequate patient care. The clinic manager reports directly to the Director of Clinic Operations.
Summaryof Essential Job Functions
- Develops and maintains monthly staffing schedule for clinic staff; staffs clinic areas according to patient volume, acuity and practitioner schedules; monitors and minimizes overtime; fills open shifts as necessary; manages staff time in time keeping program.
- Operates clinic areas within a cost-effective budget with prior approval from the Director of Clinic Operations.
- Assists in planning and coordinating clinic participation in community events and marketing/public relations activities; promotes the Hospital and Clinics professionally.
- Treats patients and families with respect and dignity; manages difficult situations calmly to achieve best patient outcomes; addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs; serves as liaison among Director of Clinic Operations, patients, practitioners, and other healthcare providers.
- Assists the Director in hiring and termination as directed; evaluates both professional and non‑professional staff; administers disciplinary action according to NTMC’s progressive discipline policy with approval.
- Models and mentors high‑performance behaviors; fosters growth and development of staff; promotes critical thinking.
- Ensures availability and operation of equipment and supplies; operates equipment safely; monitors safety logs.
- Maintains compliance and survey readiness at all times in the RHC through routine checks and rounding.
- Leads performance improvement activities; provides staff education; collaborates with other hospital departments on patient care and improvement.
- Plans and implements orientation and in‑service training; completes competency evaluations; promotes staff involvement in training, recruitment, and retention.
- Investigates reported incidents/complaints; resolves to the extent possible and documents results.
- Maintains knowledge and trains staff on electronic medical records to resolve insurance, billing, and coding discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic computer skills applicable to the role.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member; supports and assists the team.
- Three (3) or more years experience managing all clinic aspects at a multi‑specialty medical practice and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to spend long periods on feet.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
